Driving up to the top of the pass
July 22 Glacier-Calgary

Friday we left early in the morning for Canada. We decided to take the route thru the park which was a shorter route but a longer time. We took the “Road to the Sun” up over the Rockies. It was raining and foggy at the top but it was still breath-taking. I can only imagine what it would be on a clear day. There were water falls everywhere. They were working on the road at the top and you could only feel sorry for those fellows. It was 39 degrees and raining and they were digging out rocks for the road. You are surrounded by ice fields and glaciers. This road is only open a few months a year and I guess they need to work on it whenever it is open to repair the winter damage.
