Well, the Garmin thingy has named me "Recalculating, when it is safe, do a U turn", which is a strange name I think? So I call her Helen, as it pays to do what she suggests.
Drove from Banff south to the US/Canadian border, which I virtually drove through with hardly a stop. Don't understand that, but wasn't about to complain. Then into Glacier National Park, which is in northern Montana. It is well named, that's for sure, as is the village of Many Glacier.
It was quite a drive, but I have got the hang of the left hand drive, and the roads are very safe. So, no problem to get along at 120km, as everyone else does. Except Helen that is, but I switch her volume down from time to time!

The road that cuts over the Continental Divide is called Going To The Sun Road, and again is well named. It is an amazing road right through the heart of the Rockies. At the highest point, Logan Pass, there is a trail head called Highline Trail and I hiked that yesterday. It climbs up another 300 mt or so and is spectacular. Pretty hot on the trail, up to 30 C, but bone dry, no humidity, so is bearable. Actually bearable is not a good description for any trail in this neck of the woods. Beerable is though, cos there are some really good local ales available here, and we are miles from anywhere.....The coffee is crap though, no improvement there, so it is un bear able.

Off on a four day guided hike tomorrow, up around Logan Pass as it turns out.......here are some photos.
Hope you guys are all well.
