If you are on the list of people receiving the link to this blog, you're either a friend or family member that might be interested in the trip Kirk and I are about to take. I'll try to post pictures and comments as often as possible throughout our trip, but I didn't want to post all of this on facebook, so this seemed the easiest option. Some of you are aware of the trip, and some aren't, so for those of you who don't know the details, here's our itinerary.

Depart Edinburgh for Milan, Italy - 7/11/2012
Depart Milan for Venice, Italy - 7/13/2012
Depart Venice for Geneva, Switzerland - 7/15/2012
Depart Geneva for Locarno, Switzerland - 7/16/2012 - This is work for Kirk, but I get to tag along and visit Crans-Montana (a ski resort high in the Swiss Alps) and Locarno which is a historic township dating to 587 AD, with the Alps and glacier lakes and palm trees? Yep...I'll take pictures!)

Return to Geneva - 7/22/2012
Open agenda from 7/22 thru 7/27; may include some drives to Gruyere, Swizerland (the home of gruyere cheese for cheese fondue, big yum!) and Freiburg, Germany; both within easy driving distance
Depart for Paris - 7/27/2012
Depart for St. Louis - 7/29/2012
Arrive home 7/29/2012!!
Okay, so maybe I'm a little overzealous, and it almost makes me tired just thinking about it, but I can't blame anyone else since I put together the itinerary. It's rushing some places, but trying to see as much as possible...within reason....well within some sort of reason, not at all sure how reasonable it really is! lol
My phone will have limited (and expensive) service while we're gone, but I will be able to check emails, facebook, post updates and pictures, etc., from the hotels. Kinsey and Lori will both have complete itineraries if there is any kind of emergency that someone needs to reach us.
So, this is my initial post to test this out and let's see if this thing works! 😊
