Don't take them often but every once in a while ya gotta see how happy we are.....

Thought I would take a week or so to write another update but when things go from bad to worse, why not share with your friends. It almost seems like everything we try we hit a glitch.....some small, some big, but in total, we certainly see a pattern. Started with the change of our favorite bar the first day, a foggy morning to start on the second, buying a 12 pack of beer for the t-bag only to discover they were baby beers of 10 ounce each, every gas pump we pull up to is out of order so we have to pull around to another, the weather turning to arctic so we have to bag camping and stay extra nights in a hotel, our favorite place to get blackened gator tail is closed on the two days we're in town and the second place we choose is also closed for Presidents Day, tried to buy two different T-Shirts at The Jazz Club, a bar we ended up in when the restaurants were closed only to be told there're sold out, getting stuck in 2 hours of grid lock traffic after a Mardi Gras parade after having just had
Goodbye Texas!!Goodbye Texas!!Goodbye Texas!!

So excited to finally be moving states again...
a beer and almost wetting myself and last but not least, my helmet flying off my head on the highway as we headed to the restaurant that was closed ending up at the bar who was sold out of T-Shirts.......

So you can see that this leg of the adventure is giving us it's best and we're rolling with the punches. After posting the last update, I noticed that the comments on the pictures in Facebook don't come through, only the title, and you all need to click on the travelpod link to read the comments for the pictures. It's worth the minute or two since quite a few of the pictures have a story behind them, especially the angel trees in Mississippi, but of course, totally your call.

We've enjoyed our time so far and are hitting the road again this morning in 40 degree weather with a windchill of 32....yes sirree, I am really really happy to be living this life..... (I also have some beachfront land in Arizona for sale.....)

Three people survived the 40-foot-high storm surge of Hurricane Katrina by clinging to an oak tree which died and they had the dead limbs carved and cemented in the same spot.

As told by the bartender at the Blind Tiger Bar - This tree was sanctuary for 5 people and a small dog for over two days after the bed and breakfast seen behind it was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina....Now I see why they registered it.....
