The Cherry Festival is the largest festival of the summer in the Traverse City area. Everything in the world you can think of that can be made of cherries will be found here. We tried a little salmon with cherry sauce and merlot wine. Delicious. Of course it was a meal to remember and the cherry almond ice cream at the end was to die for !
One of the main highlights of the festival was the air show and the performance of the "Blue Angels". It was a show to remember. What beautiful aircraft and precision flying! These guys are amazing ! There were thousands of people here at the beach to see the show but we had the primo spot in the shade right out on the water..............fabulous! It is impossible without special cameras and lenses to capture what the eye can see when these fabulous planes are in the air.
