So we're hot on the trail (so to speak) to get our "free" t-shirt for getting to 7 of the bourbon distilleries in the area before we finish our "stint" at Amazon.com. Today we went to Four Roses first and took their tour. It was interesting, but not as good a tour as Maker's Mark. I think the bourbon might have been a little better...of course, we have "tastes" at the end...

Then to Wild Turkey (nearly across the road from Four Roses). We had a ride on the turkeys, but no tasting here. Off to the Woodford Reserve distillery. It was a really beautiful facility, but they were doing some renovations and we wanted to be sure to catch Town Branch in Lexington before they closed, so no tasting here either.

Downtown Lexington for the Town Branch tour. The owner is a Scottish man with a PHD in yeast strains. Imagine that...the tourguide (Del) was great, the bourbon good, but they also brew beer...you know where this is going...because I LOVE beer!!! So we had our tastes of both their bourbon and beers and Del told us that the package store around the corner were having 2 for

1 happy hour. You KNOW we had to check it out...and we all needed to restock our "booze" supply for the upcoming 50 hour Amazon week!! They had the Kentucky Bourbon Ale beers on tap, so we all had to partake!!! AND they had 3 of the "flavors", so of course we had to try them all!!! (twice, I think.....)

Had some dinner at the Jefferson Davis Inn around the corner and that brought our day to an end. Our friend Ohio State Bob, from the Stables campground drove, and Steve & Cheryl and Glenn & I rounded out the party. It was a really beautiful fall day with some really good friends...couldn't ask for more!!!
