Everyone who owns an iphone loves it. Iphone, ipads, ipods, their all great products, but is it so great for the people who are making them? Apple products being made are sold at high price, but those who are making them, do not get paid so much. 70 cents an hour is the earning of a sweatshop worker. The workers who work at Foxconn (which is the company that makes these gadgets) often live in these companies. Workers work 16 hours a day, and only get a two hour break. But recently Foxconn is debating on making wages a little bit higher to prevent workers from committing suicide. Foxconn had to put nets around the factory from preventing the workers from jumping off the buildings. With just making $11.20 to make these products, they are sold here in America for more than $300. The causes for the suicides is because many of the workers say that management is a problem and staying awake. If workers eat fast enough they catch up on some sleep. foxconn does not also look at ages when it comes to work. A 13 year old girl polishes iphone faces everyday.
