The dominant religion in France is Catholicism, where about 80%!o(MISSING)f the population is said to be Catholic. There about 4 other major religions in France. These religions are Islam, Judaism, Protestantism, and Buddhism. The people of France get freedom to study and practice any religion they'd like. Although Christianity is the dominant religion, France has about the lowest church attendance in the world. Mainly because Christians don't attend Sunday church and the other religions practice their religion on different days.

Catholicism falls into the category of Christianity. However, there are different beliefs in the two religions. Afterlife is a factor that's different in the religions. Christianity believes that there will be a Judgment Day when God summons all the holy spirits to Heaven. In Catholicism, it's believed that there is eternal salvation in Heaven and eternal damnation in Hell. Meaning, there isn't really a Judgment Day.
