2. Is violence ever justifiable for making a point or having your opinion heard ?

I believe violence is never justifiable for making a point just like the bombing in Boston. That guy probably wanted to make a point to but he was going to do that, he didn't have to kill and hurt people. So as long as people don't get hurt its ok for violence to be use to prove a point. An example is the civil rights movement. They protested in violent way but did not kill or harm people in the process.
