In the year 1492, i would probably want to live in the Old World, based on food alone. To me the Old World just had more foods and could probably have more a variety. They had more vegtables, so they probably would have lived longer. I also feel that some of the meats that the new world had, was a little more rare than what we eat now.

The foods i chose from both sides were: Turkey, Avocado, Peanut, Pineapple, Tomato, Cattle, Chicken, Coffe Peach, and Sugarcane. Out of the ten foods my granmother guessed 6 correct foods when comparing them between Old and New World.

My favorite family recipe is my grandma's Dressing

6 Eggs

Flour

Baking powder

milk

salt/ pepper

4 stalks of celery

2 onions

2 bell peppers

1 lbs. gibblets

2 cans of chicken broth

1 tablespoon of sage & pultry seasoning

2 cans of cream of mushroom soup

6 cups of crushed cornbread

Bake corn bread on 400 degrees for 30 mins., cool corn bread, saute vegetables, biol gibblets until tender, cool and cut gibblets, combine cornbread; veggies;and gibblets together, add egges oil and cream of mushroom soup, then bake for another hour. Most of the ingredients are from the Old word, and one or two of the ingredients are from the New World.
