1. In the year 1419, I would rather live in the Old World because many of my favorite dishes and drinks include the ingredients that were only found there. Though the New World did have the basic ingredient for chocolate and many good fruits, the Old World had coffee and spices that add flavor to everything we eat.

2. I interviewed my older sister, Diana. Her quiz results are 4 out of 10 queshtions correct. This is not surprising at all because I know that she has not learned alot about where foods were originally found.

3. I could not find a family recipe, but one recipe I enjoy is a traditional pumpkin pie. The ingredients call for 2 cups of pumpkin pulp purée from a sugar pumpkin, 1.5 cups of heavy cream, 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar, 1/3 cup white sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamon, 1/2 teaspoon of lemon zest, 1 crust. These ingredients come from both the old and new worlds. This recipe tells us that during the years, people experimented with the ingredients of both worlds to create new foods.
