Piracy still continues the way it does to day a little similar to the way it did during the age of exploration. It cosists of the same idea of raiding a ship and looting it's "treasures". The way that this still happenes though is because there is no one to protect ships carring goods compared to the sheer numbers that the Somali pirates have. The authorities tried to handle this problem first by using taxes from the places getting raided to go to their military program. Next they tried to use a special forces unit made up of soilders of fortune or "mercenaries". I don't think piracy should ever be justified and for only one simple reason: it is stealing. I think it is stealing becuase you just take things that people so try so hard to find and just take it away from them.
