1. Piracy continues to exist in the modern world by Somali pirates hijacking different types of boats to get money or other valuable things.

2. Authorities are trying to combat the problem by using proxy and armed private contractors to fight piracy. I don’t think there are anymore solutions because you cant really tell the pirates to stop stealing because it is their way of life.

3. During the age of exploration I do think piracy was justifiable because the pirates were stealing things that were already stolen. But, in present day I don’t think piracy is justifiable because people spend their money on things that they want and need.
