1. Piracy still continues to exist in this modern world because money still exist, and where there can be a profit piracy is still existing. It continues to exist in the Somalia, Africa as the Somali pirates.
2. The government has tried to aid this issue with the Maritime Police Force. However, the team did not last very long because it relied on money. When they were not supported anymore they sort of dismantled.
3. No, I do not think piracy was/is ever justifiable because in the end most of the time it was stealing from someone else for personal interest.
