1) Piracy continues to exist in the modern world today in Somalia. These pirates rob hundreds of ships.Then they would demand a ransom from the owner. In order to get the money to the pirates the owners would drop it from the sky with a parachute. Then the pirates would sometimes give the ships back. they wouldnt always give the ships back and sometomes they even killed the hostages.

2) the authorites tries to get people to sponsor the force that tried to stopthe pirates ,but the force broke down. The army then joined up with the pirates . I think someone to go undercover and plant a tracking system on each ship.

3) I think that piracy is never justifiable. For one, stealing is bad, but stealing from innocent people who never did anythingis dispicable even for the "hard core pirates". In Gods ten comandments "Thou shalt not steal" is number 8.
