1. This article was explaining how Spanish Conquistadors tried to eradicate the indigenous people's culture. However they were unsuccessful so instead they tried to alter their culture. The article also explains how people currently celebrate "Day of the Dead" which is a celebration of their ancestors.

2. My reaction to this article was inspiring because even though the Spanish tried to destroy their culture they fought back and did not their power and wealth forget what they belived in. As a result of those decisions people are able to celebrate their ancestors today.

3. This connects to what we are learing in class because The Spanish had wealth and all the resources that the Native Americans did not but they still were able to keep their beliefs and traditons going and spreading throughout time.
