1. The summarization of this passage is that using maps is better than using navigation. This is because maps can memorized while a GPS device can become crutches. Finally, that you should always have a mental map with you if your traveling to new places because it helps you get around.

2. My reaction to this was that reading maps was too much and that I would rather use a GPS device so I can get to my destination faster.

3. This relates to class because we are talking about different maps and how they differ from each other. Also because we are being taught when to use a certain map based On where we are and where we want to go.
