1. In the article "Kids who skip school are tracked by GPS" is about kids in seventh and eighth grade are being tracked by a GPS device if they skip school. If these kids have four unexcused absenses they are required to have a GPS device with them, and they have to enter a code five times a day to track where they are. It may sound like a punishment, but it is to help the kids get in the habit of going to school. They even have an adult call the kids at least three

2. My reaction was surprised at first because I did not think it was right for the kids to be required to have a GPS device to track them. I kind of thought it was not okay to have a kid feel like they need to be tracked. Afterwards my mind started changing as I kept reading, and I think that is a good idea for the kids to attend school more often.

3. It relates to our class in the future because we will be learning on maps, and it shows us where we are at. This also relates to the enrichment class with Mr. Sicat because we would talk about creating schools in California, and I think it relates since the school is going to help students with their education.
