I think what historians learned from the Middle Kingdom Egypt was there were different types of occupation for each person. They learned how the other occupations were hard working, like being a farmer or a peasant. Another great example was being a soldier was hard working too because they had to march up mountains or when attacked by the enemie he can be captured. The scribe explains the advantages to learning how to write. You can serve your king as a noble proffesion and become advanced by your superiors. The important part of learning to write then you can be trusted by your king, and you can avoid other hard working occupations. I think the fusterations that the teacher is trying to express is you need to learn writing and it can brign you to many pleasures in life. For example, you can serve your king with a higher occupation and be paid with land or a mansion. The teacher is fustrating you can have a much better life without being a merchant, peasant, or a soldier.
