Amnesty international has been active for fifty years. This program. Has grown awareness around the world to inform individualsabout their human rights and to prevent and protect thossnobs rights are abused. They ave focused on people who might usually be forgotten about. For example, people i prison. They are more likely to hawe their rights abused or taken away from them. There are only seventeen states in the U.S. that doesn't allow the death penaltymwhich isconsidered taking away a human right. Amother population of people who rights are abused ate people in proverty and third world countries. There are many things thiorganization also focuses on such as children rights, torture, Cencorship, free speech, military, and internationaL justice. I think that ever individual in the world deserves to have these human rights without them being abused. The rights need to be enforced because they are more optional the countries. Some individuals have more rights than others. I can connect to this with our project because our person also focuses on human rights with things such as slavery, sex trafficking, and more? It is important for individuals to know their personal rights and for everyone to fight for their rights and stand up for what they believe in.
