Chicago sites

Today we did very well..... we didn't get lost ! The gps lady and Geoff did very well, getting us there, the traffic was fast and scary but.... we did itl ! We drove into downtown Chicago and parked at Navy Pier, a great entertainment and restaurant area on Lake Michigan, we spent time taking in all the views before having lunch on the boardwalk. You can tell it is spring, the birds are nesting and the bulbs are flowering, the trees are in bud. It was a lovely warm spring day, hazzy in the morning and late afternoon.... but the bit in between...... was sunny blue sky's.
We took a "hop on hop off' tour on a double decker bus, which took us around the city for about 3 hours. So much to see, took at least 200 photos.... I did say ..... there was a lot to see !!! We had a long walk around part of the lake before having dinner back at Navy Pier at an Italian restaurant..... they say Chicago is famous for hotdogs and deep pan pizza...... Geoff tried the hotdog for lunch and the pizza for tea !!!
Our gps lady helped us get back to our hotel..... so all in all it's been a great day !
