Still in Port, Still in Paradise

Relaxing on board

We are still in port. We spent the day on board by the pool. We had far too many fancy rum drinks with umbrellas in them last night! It seemed perfect. Last night we went to the Pacific Paradise Luau! And it was perfect. We were treated to wonderful live Hawaiian music and Hula dancing celbrating the spirit of Aloha and the Hawaiian people. The food was great and there was lots of it. There was an open bar with more Mitais and Blue Hawaiian drinks than you can imagine. It is amazing to see how only a few Blue Hawaiian make you want to show the world your hula spirit. It is little wonder that Captain Cook’s crew members were eager to spend time ashore on the island of Maui. Our plans to visit Lahina did not materialize. Instead we plan to go ashore today and spend some time on the beautiful white sandy beaches before sailing again.

More than two centuries after Captain James Cook's voyages of discovery, Aloha Jane (aka the Pineapple Princess) and I are going on a journey across the hemispheres and through the centuries.
