For George’s birthday we ended up driving two hours, all the way over the other side of the island to take a plane trip over the volcanos. The pamphlet showed the plane flying over the crater with erupting lava flying in the air just missing the plane, similar to the picture below. However our flight wasn’t exactly like that. Firstly, we couldn’t find the place were the plane left from. We were stupidly looking at the airport, when we rang up we were informed that we were actually looking for a garage out the back of the airport. The pilot was patiently waiting for us, we were actually his only flight for the day. We flew over the waterfalls before heading on to the volcano. Unfortunately by the time we got to volcanos George was well and truly asleep. I had to wake him up in case he missed the lava. As you can see by our photos they weren’t the same as the ones in the pamphlet - we were most disappointed.
