Disaster

Disaster has again struck our travel plans. First it was the knowledge that Burg Eltz (an uber fantastic castle in Germany) does not open for visitors until April. Now I have learned that the ferry on which we expected to cross from Italy to Croatia (Dubrovnik) does not run on the day we need it. With only a couple days until we fly out, I've got to scramble to figure out where to spend three days we cannot have in Croatia. At least it is off season and hostels will not be difficult to come by.

Right now I'm thinking we backtrack into northern Italy or venture into western Austria on our way into Munich.

The new possibilites for new places are exciting, but, hot damn!, I wanted to see Dubrovnik. (check out pictures online and you'll know why)
