February 2020. We are still in Tucson, Arizona, well, often anyway. We continue our wanderings and enjoying our adventures. We haven't lived outside the US in awhile, but have lived in: Guatemala, Ecuador, the Netherlands (twice), Germany (twice) and South Africa. Marcela Turns 40!!

Husband Tim threw a marvelous party for Marcela on her (and twin Vicky's) 40th birthday. Marcela reminded me that when she lived with us in Alaska, I had turned 40!

This was MY 40th year as Marcela pointed out when we were attending HER 40th birthday celebration this year.

San Antonio, TX

Mark & Yolanda took us on a great walk along a dried river bed where you could see (and sit in, obviously!) dinosaur tracks

Matawan, NJ

Claudia, far right, should have a place of honor in this blog as she hosted us AND the Guatemalans for the majority of their (and our) visit back east. Here she is with granddaughter Mac at her school band performance, with Denise, Aixa and Melissa

Jamestown, VA

Shep, Adrienne and Rob's older son, was our enthusiastic guide - he loved the boats in particular and being with his Grand-Uncle Bernie and Uncle Dave

Charlottesville, VA

We visited the site where Dave & Deb Dougherty got married (UVA campus). Their kids, Ella, Cole & Julia, are in the doorway where the wedding party took cover from a down-pour and where Dave and Deb actually took their vows

Sackler Gallery, D.C.

At an Asian museum in Washington D.C. they had a calligrapher from Oman giving instruction to the public. I think it was one of the highlights of our Guatemalans' visit

Richmond, VA

4th of July with the Martin (Rob & Lee here) and Dougherty Families - went to a concert and fireworks display in the park - fabulous

Middletown, NJ

Had to include BFFs Eleanor, Maureen & Claudia - Maureen had just gotten back from Ireland, hence the Guinness apron

Asheville, NC

I had hoped to spend my birthday with birthday-buddy Kim Tyrrell, but she and Thomas were camping that day. Instead had a wonderful dinner with friend Randy Latta, who also lives in Asheville

Evan Puchalski

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to include a photo of grandson Evan Puchalski, he'll be 4 the end of November, so is 3 1/2 here. Christina and Evan came to Tucson for a visit over Mother's Day weekend, just before we started our drive east

Loved looking at the Summer '09 entry. We LOVED having Letty, Aixa and Melissa (and you two, of course). It was such a special visit. And it was a treat for me to see your photo of Vermont and the Berninghausens. Great to see pictures of the Tyrrells too. love,a
