We're going to make this one short and snappy as we were not in San Fran long and, to be honest, we were fairly non plussed!

We checked into our hostel to find that we had an en suite private room. What a luxury - an unaccompanied shower!

We did all the touristy stuff; Golden Gate Bridge, trams, sea lions on the pier and Alcatraz. Alcatraz was a great experience, really well done with ear phone guides and generally very spooky.

Weather has been naff, a Pacific fog set in when we got here and the cold gets in your bones (yes, that really can happen! (PS edit - Only if you're name's Vicki)).

We have to end on a high note though and mention our great (budget busting) night out where we were co-ersed into one (or two) too many by a proper, drink slidding US bar man at a bar with a live jazz band interspersed with Guns and Roses .... don't ask!!!

We picked up our "Chevvie" hire care and so watch out Route 1!

Hello Paul and Vicki!
Tales of your adventures are keeping me very amused at work this afternoon! Particularly loved the Rolling Stones room and the Jasper Snorer. I look forward to the next installment - sounds like you are having a fantastic time. Kate x

Too jealous
Hi Wicki and Paul. I can't believe I read this stuff it makes me so jealous. You look like you are having just the best time!! I'm still working in Watford. Don't think that will make you envious in any way. Take care Chantal
