USA Trip Day 1 - Akl - San Fran

So...USA here we come.

Dad dropped us of at the airport around 2ish in the new highlander. We couldnt help but laugh as he drove off with both front and back wipers going - and it wasn't raining! Still a new car to him eh!

After check in we went to the Koru lounge to wait. Copious amounts of free food and drink were available much to our delight. Shiree just sat in a corner fretting about the 12 hour flight to come, even a glass of wine didn't have the desired calming effect. Long story short thanks to a tranquilizer and sleeping pill Shiree slept for 8 hours and the others hardly slept.

On arrival at San Fran easy arrival and transfer to The Radisson Fishermans Wharf. Good location, heated pool, nice view, good room. Walked around the Pier and Main Street, lots of homeless people. Dinner at Wipeout at Pier 39, gf tacos, burrito and pizzas, yum.

Slept well!
