Arrived in San Fran on Monday 23rd May Rooms were shocking so small when Ross & I put our luggage in there was hardly any room for us to stand in the room as well, Sue & Rob's a bit bigger but not much Ross & I got moved to a similar room to Sue's ... First hotel we have been disapointed in.Tonight went to Alcatraz tour . . we caught a trolly bus to the wharf .. horrible cranky people & crowed , all I saw sitting down was peoples bums & bellies squashing me ... but Great night tour with an ex guard or Warden then a self guided tour with head phones very well done, Ross & Rob thought some of the cells were bigger than our first room. Came back & had tea at fishermans wharf , really cold tonight.
Next day caught the cable car around San Fran much nicer went up & down the really steep hills thank goodness we didn't have to walk them. Got off at Fishermans Wharf Rob got his clam chouder for lunch , we saw a huge group of Sea Lions bathing in the Sun some were so big they have been coming here for the past 25 years. On the way home the boys hang on the outside of the trolly, big kids.
Wednesday did a bus tour around San Fran. Went to San Fran bridge but pretty foggy & raining couldn't see to much , Will go back on a finer day. Had lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory ... meals so big didn't eat tea. Tonight has cleared up thank goodness as we are going to a Giants Base ball game, caught the train which took us straight to the Stadium. What a great experience crowd was 47 , 000 people they had entertainment all the time in between innings , their mascot is a seal ... so funny... the game was very exciting we were down 6 - 2 but drew in the 9th innings high fiveing strangers, cheering & screaming ended up loosing by one run ...Great night - everyone should do it if you have the chance.
Thursday went on our second day of bus tour ... beautiful day ... Went back to bridge ,could see it really well today, saw old traditional houses & some famous ones from TV shows like full house & Mrs Doughtfire saw the famous crooked street , Lombard Street & went to a beautiful park called the Golden Gate Park ... very nice. Had tea at the night club next door Fusions , had a great tea & drinks ... partied hard till 9.00 pm ,have to leave very early tomorrow for Hawaii.
