San Francisco & LA
Drinks in the rooftop bar at The Marriott San Francisco is COLD!!!!!!! I think we are in shock. Dont think the bikinis will be out here anyway! Had a walk around today but it really was that cold we ended up in an Irish pub for some food to heat us up. We went out for a lovely meal tonight as im leaving the girls in a couple of days to head back down to LA. I bought a new outfit from H&M for the occasion which was totally unnecessary but great fun to be shopping again :-) The meal was gorgeous and we had a nice bottle of wine, poured for us by our very!!! camp waiter. Afterwards we went into the Marriott hotel for drinks in their rooftop bar which had great views of the city. Onto another pub after that and then home as i think we were all shattered after our big meal.
We walked over the Golden Gate Bridge today or should i say we practically ran over the bridge cos it was bloody freezing!! We thought there would have been a nice cafe or something at the other side to warm up in however there wasnt so we ran back over so

Raymond and I at the Hollywood sign we didnt freeze to death. Im not exxaggerating! The bridge itself is beautiful and im sure the views are too but its that foggy you dont really see how nice it could be. Judy and I were dissapointed that we didnt get to go to Alcatraz. We didnt know but during the summer months you need to book it almost a month in advance. Of course we weren't that organised but we will know for next time. Had to get two buses back from the bridge to the city so by the time we got back there it was staight back into the pub to heat up again :-)
I only had the couple of days in San Francisco and its definately not enough. I didnt see Alcatraz and didnt get to Fishermans Wharf but its another excuse to go back! Im leaving the girls tomorrow and they are travelling on for another week. I feel real sorry for Judy having to put up with Kat & Carrie-Anne on her own :-) Cant believe thats my time up with them already, the past couple of weeks has flown in. Ive had a ball and im so glad they all

At dinner on Saturday came over for a holiday cos Las Vegas and all those brilliant places we've seen wouldnt have been the same without them. Judy deserves a medal for all that driving she's done and also an extra gold star for getting over those high bridges :-) and Kat & Carrie-Anne deserve one for putting up with Judy and I over-analysing everything hahah.

Left the girls this morning at the airport which was a bit sad but we were fine. Got a full search which i was suprised at considering im only flying internally. They confiscated loads of things and i wasnt amused one bit. Anyway i knew i was going to meet Raymond so i wasnt bothering as much as i would have been. Yes as you will all know by now Raymond flew out to LA for the weekend to see me and we have just had an absolutely fabulous time!! You wouldnt have thought two minutes had passed since i last saw him never mind two months!
Raymond didnt get his luggage for two days when he arrived so the first thing we did was buy him some toiletries and stuff. I took him up

The Golden Gate Bridge to Hollywood to let him see Sunset Strip and the Walk of Fame etc. We went into the Kodak Theatre, where the Oscars are held, and had a lovely Italian meal. Afterwards we went to the "Snow White Cafe" where the lager comes in 3-pinters. As you can see in the photo i helped him out a bit as we all know he cant handle his lager! :-) On Saturday we had a few drinks by the pool, the weather is great so we were sitting out for most of the afternoon. Went to Sizzlers Steakhouse for dinner at night where the food is too die for!!
Unfortunately we only had those 3 days and they were gone before we knew it. Raymond got down on one knee and proposed on Sunday so although we were sad to be leaving each other we were also over the moon about that so it wasnt as bad as leaving him the first time. I'm so happy i was fit to burst and when he left i spent the rest of the day jumping up and down on my bed :-)
So now im off to the Cook Islands tonight which

The Golden Gate Bridge im looking forward too but it will be a bit weird spending the first 3 months of my engagement on my own :-) The USA has been brilliant and ive met some truly strange and interesting people, who knows how many more by the time the next 2 months have gone :-) x x
