The Seattle to San Francisco train trip takes about 21 hours--along Pugent Sound and through some beautiful country in the Cascades. Our trip was a bit longer since the train was delayed by an hour or so and never managed to make up all the lost time. No problem for us. We got off the train and onto bikes as soon as we could and biked across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito for lunch. We worked up quite an appetite. After we returned by ferry we biked along the Embarcadero and then walked up Lombard St. Off tomorrow to Denver.
