Lazy day

All the travelling and sight-seeing finally caught up with me, so I took a day off and went down to the beach area (though not the beach itself) and spent the day reading.

The alternative motive behind this quite day was that we were planning to go to a midnight viewing of Iron Man 2. Given that I had yet to make it past 11pm, this was no mean feat. In the end I managed it, with the help of much caffeine in its various forms.

The film was fun and beforehand we went to a Cuban restaurant (called Versailles of all things) where we had a lovely meal. Most of the food seemed to be pork, fried in a garlicky sauce (called Mojo) and served with fried plantain, rice and black beans. It was delicious.
