On Friday June 20, 2008 I went to work as usual in Walnut Creek, CA. Karla took Nisha and Mia to the doctor for the last series of shots before our trip. I came home around 4pm, we gathered our gear, ate dinner and headed out the door at 6:00pm. I drove down I-5 to LAX where our plane awaited us. We arrived sometime around midnight; our plane left at 2:00 a.m.
