Los Angeles!!!!

We made it to the states!!!! We have been in Los Angeles for 3 days now after a killer trip from Thailand- 28 hours of travel and a massive time zone change really doesn't work well for us! Anyway LA has been great so far we got to the airport and picked up our hire car i did the best i could after 28 hours of travel to try and stay on the right side of the road and work out stupid 4 way stop sign intersections. I think i've only gone onto the wrong side of the road maybe twice!!
But we did make it to the hotel very tired and needing sleep but of course we had to find a bar to celebrate and welcome LA. We asked at our hotel where would be a good place to go close by and was recommended a karaoke bar called the brass monkey. So off we went and had a few (local) beers each, ate some (very different- to say in the least) nachos and watched some people who were taking karaoke way to seriously!!! One guy even told the DJ to stop because the words on the screen weren't in time with the track. Also i'm pretty sure he was asking for more vocals in the mix, du

The next day we had a long long sleep in. We woke up early then went back to sleep till the afternoon- killer jetlag!! When we finally got up we headed out for some lunch, went for a drive into Hollywood 'n had a look around then headed to Santa Monica beach after dark. We even rode a roller coster at the pier where there is a mini carnival- good times!!!

Day 2 we hit up Universal Studios which was better than I expected. We rode some very cool rides, went on a studio tour and saw some great shows. There was also a lot of standing in queues, photo ops and people to weave around! 10 hours of park time was enough for us for one day so we headed home. However on the way our hire car started playing up so after a few phone calls we made a late night trip to the depo to pick up a new one. To finish off a very exhausting day we topped it off with a Rolo McFlurry, oh yeahhh!

Day 3, today, we made a spontaneous decision to head out to Disney Adventure Park for more rides and rollercoasters. After another 10 hours of fun park goodness and we still have Disneyland to come in a few days time. Woohoo! (tip to anybody-arrive early to get the good rides fast=D)

Anyway that's where we are at the moment. Next update will either be from or on the way to San Francisco. Till then....
