Week Two

San Francisco was a blast, wandered through Chinatown, had fortune cookies, checked out the Beat Museum and the City Lights bookshop, had great hotdogs in Haight Ashbury and found a british pub (kinda). The next day went out to Alcatraz which was really interesting and enjoyable. Finished the night with a delicious curry at the amusingly named Gaylord Curry House. The next day we headed to Sonoma (wine country). We skipped the vineyards and went up to Sugarloaf Ridge where we stayed for a couple of nights hiking round various trails and ridges and looking at waterfalls. Today we're stopping over at Lake Tahoe, over 6000ft in elevation, there's still snow on the ground! The mountains are stunning and hopefully it won't get too cold tonight! Tomorrow, Yosemite.
