So then, where were we ? Lot's have happened since my last post . We found a new place to hike . Devils Den State Park . Yellow Rock Trail . Steep ., moderately difficult. Five miles round trip and have done this several times. 2.5 mi up hill with switchbacks. We have to get out early before the brutal Arkansas heat gets to high or we wither.

On the equipment side . Laurie has her backpack , Blue Osprey Kelty 30m, she's working thru the kinks now and will have all the

issues resolved before we leave (hopefully)

. We have our final pair of hiking shoe's , She . hiking sneakers , me hiking boots . We are breaking them in now . trekking poles;check , Rain gear,;check ... Sleeping bags & Mats ; check , pants check socks;check , water bottles ;check , meds : no , first aid kit;no .

It's coming on quick . Still have some to get together , But its fun this planning and the idea of walking this trek is now closer and more real . It's a wee bit unnerving at times but thats cool too .
