HELLO TO ALL IN GEORGIA
WELL THIS HAS REALLY BEEN A JOURNEY. WE HAVE SEEN SOME BEAUTIFUL PLACES. WE HAVE ALSO SEEN SNOW, FROZEN LAKES, SNOW, RAIN, HAIL, SNOW AND MORE SNOW. WE HAVE BEEN HAULED IN ON A ROLLBACK, LOST OUR MUFFLER AND CAN NOT GET OUR DISH TO WORK. THE SIGNAL IS SO FAR DOWN THAT IT WON'T GO THAT LOW. WE HAVE BOUGHT ONE TO PUT ON THE GROUND. HOPE IT WILL WORK. HAVEN'T TRIED YET.
WE ARRIVED IN TOK, ALASKA LAST NIGHT ABOUT 6:00P.M. ALASKA TIME. IT WAS QUITE A RIDE. THE ALASKA HIGHWAY IS INTERESTING. WE COULD ONLY GO ABOUT 30 MPH FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS. IT WAS LIKE RIDING A ROLLER COASTER. THERE WERE BIG HOLES IN THE ROAD AND NOT A PLEASANT RIDE. PLUS DURING THE ROLLER COASTER RIDE IT WAS SNOWING AND SLEETING. THAT WAS FUN!!!!!
WE HAVE TAKEN TODAY OFF TO REST UP A LITTLE. DWIGHT HAS DRIVEN QUITE A WAYS. 4963 MILES. I THINK HE DESERVES A DAY OFF. I HAVE DRIVEN SOME BUT NOT MUCH!!!!
WE WENT THRU CUSTOMS IN ALASKA O.K. THEY DIDN'T WANT TO SEARCH THE MOTORHOME. HOPE THE TRIP HOME IS AS GOOD.
HOPE THEY WILL GET THE FIRES OUT SOON. I KNOW EVERYBODY HAS ANXIOUS ABOUT THAT. HOPE GEORGIA IS STILL THERE WHEN WE GET HOME. NOW THERE IS A HURRICANE ON IT'S WAY. WHAT ELSE!!!
WE WILL BE LEAVING HERE TOMORROW MORNING FOR ANOTHER ADVENTURE.
TAKE CARE,
DWIGHT & BRENDA
