By Melisse. Homer, Alaska is dazzelingly beautiful. The entire small town is flanked by the crystalline waters of Katchamak Bay, backdropped by a range of spectacular zigzaggy mountains which at this time are still covered with snow. The view is breathtaking and omnipresent. What could be better?! At this time of year it is fully visible all of the time except between about 1:30 and 3:00am when it is nearly dark (but not dark enough to see stars). Birds and boats accent the bay. The wonderfully interesting collection of people who have chosen to live in Homer celebrate this view by building homes designed to take it in as fully as possible.
