The title of this entry is the name of a stretch of highway between Durango and Mazatlan, for about sixty miles its just back to back twisty turns through the mountains. The first fifty miles were great since the pavement was dry, but a drenching rain just took all the fun out of it for the last ten miles into El salto, a small town between the two cities.
Im in guanajuato after riding every day for past five days. lots of variation in weather, from hot desert floor to chilled rain. bikes running well, keeping that chain really well lubed.
Ill be heading toward mexico city tomorrow, probably make it most of the way. after that itll be down to oaxaca then onward south from there.
On the first day of my ride from los angeles to tucson, a bird suddenly took off from side of road into my path and it smacked into the back of my hand...kinda hurt. well that was a first for me, anyone else hit a bird with their vehicle while driving down the highway? maybe i should buy a lottery ticket.

hasta luego, kevin
