Hey everyone, really sorry for the long silence we have tried a few times to get onto this but either the connection has been poo or the site has been down...so where do we start...not even a week in and loads to tell but we will try to keep it short for your sake and ours-its roasting in here!!!
We spent the first few days in Mexico city and although we had a really good time we realised pretty quickly that it was a very big city to start with and as we´re still getting to grips with the language, being away, the whole travelling thing really we thought we would get away from the big city for a few days chilling out...so we´ve come to Acapulco- Tom has literally been singing going loco down in acapulco for days now!!!
A few days by the beach has sorted our heads out and we are feeling much better bout the whole thing. So whats been going on...lots of sun burn...a few mozi bites...lots of yummy food...some not so great food...being given our tip back as it wasnt enough...and being shouted at for not giving a tip at all(the guy literally moved my bag 5 yards but hey we are learning...Rachie you will love this-know you like my random public transport stories-a lady was actually cutting her moustache hair on the subway as if it was totally normal-no one else seemed to mind though so not sure whats weirder! Eaten lots of guacamole...a few beers...some tequilla...Tom has found somewhere that sells a litre of Sol beer for a pound so he´s happy. We´ve had a mixture of gorgous sun and torrential rain with thunderstorms, back to sun then back to rain all in one day. I guess thats all for now but Tom wants to leave you with an early holiday story that pretty much mad me want to cry but Tom was laughing throughout so we were ok. For our Mum´s before I go, we are feeling really safe and all is ok so no need to worry everyone is really nice and usually quite helpful other that what Tom´s about to share. speak soon, love to everyone Anna xx
Ok so we walk out of the hostel and some guy pounces on us- do we want to go to an amazing hotel for only 25 dollars for the day. That includes a buffet breakfast, a 3km long pool and a beach that you can walk 3oo yards out onto. We had been down to the beach already and decided that a day by the pool would be pretty good, so we paid up. The following morning we made our way to the hotel. Now before we get there the guy tells us that we are to say we are not staying in a hostel but in a hotel (the twin towers-maybe we should have taken this as a warning that disaster was already on the way). So a little bit wary we agree and take a seat at the reception. Now we look around the place and its huge, the biggest hotel/resort either of us has ever been to. It belongs to the Mayan group (this one was called the Mayan Palce Acapulco if you want to check it out). We get told that a representative is going to come out and meet us. Sure enough Temo soon arrives and explains to us that we are going to be given an hour long presentation. Me and Anna looked at each other and both thought what the hell is going on. However the lure of a buffet breakfast and a luxury swimming pool kept us hooked so we went along with it. Three hours later we are sat down in this guys office. Temo is explaining to us the benfits of time share with the Mayan group. We are staying in a 9 pounds a night hostel and this guy is trying to get us to pay 4000 pounds today and 192 a month for the next 60 months. Now this is the small deal. At first he was trying to get us signed up for the 100 year package. To be fair to Temo he pretty much knew that we were not going to buy this package as soon as he talked to us for five minutes. For a start I was wearing my mr lazy t shirt which may have been a give away that we are not multi millionaire golfers. So he was quite pleasant about it all, but he soon called over his manager Will. At the beginning of the morning will had explained that they take no graciously. However once I explained that although the deal was tempting and I understood what they were offering, his grace soon turned to what I can only describe as him being a total arse. Anyway we firmly said no and made our way to the luxury pool for the rest of the day. Managed to win bingo and get a free beer so wasn´t all bad. Anyway we are off on a boat trip this afternoon (with an open bar) so I intend to make my money back. We will be watching the cliff divers and taking a tour of the bay. Take care. how depressing that im sat in on a friday night readg about you guys living it up in mexicio, grrrrrr. (need to take overtype off argh) anyway tomas united liverpool game, we bossed them all game. went one nil through berba outmuscling the trannie. then his second was awesome overhead kick (im really not making this up). we were crusing until evans decided to dive in like a dick (sorry parents but best way to describe him) on the trannie and give a pen away. gerrard put it away, then couple of mis later o'shea brings torres down on edge of box (could have been sent off) and gerrard freekick goes straight through the wall 2-2. he then runs over to the camera and kisses it again. (cant get to any trophies). put he would be shown up by berba grabbing his hatrick to seal a well deserved win. awesome display. all this time you have been saying he will come good anbd decides to as soon as you go!! oh and city, chelsea and liverpool are already out of the carling cup ha ha ha. liverpool got beat by northampton!! anyway mooreys match report next week anna you can start reading again without being too bored. hope you guys are having a great time. not much gossip from this end yet but its only been week. keep updating so i can keep jealously reading. speak to you soon love you both moorey
