Yaxchilan is an ancient Maya city situated in the jungle. We reached the Yaxchilan by boat. On our way we saw a varied wildlife across the river. We even saw a caiman on a rock in the river.

Yaxchilan (which was abandoned around AD 810) is one of the most important pre-Hispanic cities in the Usumacinta region.
