Left the USA on October 10, 2006 and at the time of writing (May 24, 2008) I have no definite plans of going back for a while. No Uber
No, Dolores, there was no Uber there. :-) Keep in mind I was there in 2012, perhaps before Uber's time, or at least on a mass international scale, like today. Besides, hitching is such a common way for the locals to get around, it makes sense to do it, even as a foreigner. And yes, we encountered lovely, wonderful people wherever we went.
