Left Watson Lake.

Very small town and everything in town closes down at 8 pm.

Went to ck in to a very unique hotel which I will explain but since it was 7:45 pm the owner asked me if I had eaten yet, and since I had not told me we better go quick.

Went to the only restaurant in town, Kathy's Kitchen and awesome home cooking. So good in fact we went back the next morning for breakfast

The hotel, Air Force Lodge was an old air force barracks that was remodeled. Room had 2 single beds and that was the room. Down the hall was the mens shower room and next door was the mens rest room. Here is the info and history http://airforcelodge.com/ Very cool place and we met awesome people from all over. I love meeting people from other places

As we were leaving Watson Lake we stopped at the sign forest. see here http://www.yukoninfo.com/watson-lake-signpost-forest/ very cool

See the pics

Highway 1 is great most places but we did hit several areas of gravel and under repair.

I still cannot believe we have seen no rain yet. Simply perfect weather for the last 9 days. Too good to be true.

Arrived at Haines Junction that eve and got a room and the view was beyond description.

Again a very small town (550) but what heart.

Restaurant was awesome and the owner served us.

We had the view you see in the pics from our table outside. Temp was 78 degrees with a light breeze.

Very pleasant

See you on Day 10
