We are alive and well and on the Island of Madeliene located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. www.tourismeilesdelamadeleine.com
We have had some difficulty getting internet connection so our blogs have not gone out yet. But we are working on them and the photos as well. This first entry is just to catch up and let you know that we haven’t forgotten you.
The wedding was lovely and we have been having fun traveling through Maine, New Brunswick and especially Prince Edward Island (PEI). It was on PEI we first heard of this island and decided to take ferry for 5 hours along with our RV and spend several days here. The Isles De La Madeleine is part of Quebec and very French, but for the most part we are able to communicate. It is only about 65 miles long and quite narrow, but the scenery is wonderful—white sandy beaches, deep red cliffs, brilliant green valleys, and countless shades of blue-green sea. It seems every little house is painted a different color giving the island a “happy look”.
