Ice Hockey

The stadium

Finally got to an ice hockey match. The local team is called Ottawa Senators. They were playing their arch rivals Toronto maple Leafs on the day we went.
Meagan won the tickets where she works so when she came home Colm hit her over the head and I grabbed her bag with the tickets inside...and off we went to the match😊

With Toronto only being around 4 hours from Ottawa (which is only a hop and a skip in Canada) there were loads of Maple Leaf fans in the stadium which made for a great Great atmosphere. Turns out Toronto wins 5-0 which was crazy since Ottawa are one of the best teams. Still great time had by all.

ps: Meagan's concussion cleared after a few days. Unfortunately she is experiencing some short term memory......sweet😊 !

Well I’m off to travel the world...well Canada for now anyways. The plan is to spend the next 7months in a country which can fit 254 Ireland's into it and is even colder than Donegal! (Thanks Google for that one). I will be meeting up with my mates Colm and Meagan in Ottawa, the city I will be using as my base from the 25th September. The plan is to visit Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver along with a national park, great lake and niagra fall or two. Of course go skiing in Calgary (or out the back of Meagan’s home place) and of course visit a local bar or two to see what Coca Cola tas... full info
