canada day ottawaIt’s July 1st- Canada Day! I woke up this morning to find the city full of red and white. After breakfast we headed to Parliament Hill to see the changing of the guard and experience the opening of the 140th Canada Day. There were thousands of people with hats, shirts, and flags ready to celebrate. After the changing of the guard we walked around the different areas and booths all celebrating the multicultural tradition that makes Canada special. We then took a break and had lunch at the National Art Centre. This evening we will continue with a fireworks show and live music concerts which are taking place all around the city. It really is a big party for everyone.
