Maid of the Mist Ticket Booth
This is the Maid of the Mist Ticket Booth. There's nothing else that I can really say about it... Well, I'll admit this up front. This will probably be my first and only post on this blog, barring any other Natural Disasters lessons that require the use of this and what-not. The main reason why is because of the fact that I don't travel very much 😞.
Well, anyways... Our trip to Niagara Falls started when we got on the bus at about 8:00 AM. When we
finally got there at about 10:00 AM, we went to the Maid of the Mist Ticket Booth, as you can see from my image to the left of me.
Sadly however, our planned ride onto the Maid of the Mist was cancelled due to bad weather...😞. Hence, we took the money and went onto some sort of thing called "Niagara's Fury: The Creation of the Falls" instead. First, there was a short film about a CGI beaver and his CGI owl teacher seeing how the Niagara Falls were created. They sometimes became 2D, and there were jokes and what-not. We got raincoats, I still have mine up in my room 😊. That was because of the next thing, when we went into some sort of
Niagara's Fury: The Creation of the Falls
That's me coming out of "Niagara's Fury: The Creation of the Falls", with my raincoat still on. Once again, there's nothing else that I can really say about it... thing where a bunch of things simulated weather, and we got barraged by them.
By then, it was 12:00 PM, and seeing how the Maid of the Mist thing was cancelled; and hence, the whole erosion thing had pretty much gone out the window, Ms. Brown and Ms. Featherstone (the teachers that took us there) allowed us to split up and go out on our own to explore Niagara Falls. I caught up with my friend Paolo and some other people and went with them up to Clifton Hill, a.k.a. the tourism district.
Before doing so, however, we hung out at the Falls themselves for a bit. I also tried to take a picture of a raincoat that one of us threw off the rail that ended up floating farther and farther up into the air, but I failed miserably 😞... In fact, I failed
so miserably that once I saw it, I immediately deleted the image from my hard drive, destroyed all of the hard copies, and burned the negative (not really, of course, but for that reason, I'm not going to show it here).
I also
The Glorious Niagara Falls
Or at least a part of it, anyways... This was taken right when I came out of the bus. I'm using it to illustrate the Falls however, because it really is the only picture I took of the Falls that came out exactly the way that I wanted it to :(... threw a penny off of the railway as well, and as I did, I said "if a penny saved is a penny earned, then a penny thrown away is a penny spurned!" I'm more proud of that joke that I probably should be... Anyways however, after that and other fairly boring stuff, we went into the aforementioned Clifton Hill (yes, I know that I'm being redundant here, so sue me (on second thought, don't 😊)).
First, we went to Wendy's in order to get lunch, as it was about 12:30 PM or so by that time. And before you ask, I
did not take a picture of that Wendy's. That is because of the fact that it looks like any Wendy's anywhere does. Of course, if I had known that I would have so many pictures left over on my disposable camera after I was done, I would have taken a picture of the Wendy's, but I'm getting
way ahead of myself here...
I had a Spicy Chicken Sandwich with French Fries and a Coca-Cola. I was a bit slow with it, and so I had to hurry with it at tne end...
We then went around
Sitting in Robert Wadlow's Chair
Despite what this somewhat hilarious image may indicate, we did not actually go inside the Guinness World Records Museum... (Note: There was an even more hilarious image from there, but it didn't come out too good :(...) and explored Clifton Hill for a bit. We took pictures in front of the Guinness World Records museum (We actually did that
before we went into Wendy's, but it would have disrupted the flow if I put it back there...), and we explored the Great Canadian Midway as well, though we didn't play any games in there.
After we ate at Wendy's, it was around 1:15 or 1:30 or so, and hence, we went into a couple of haunted houses. I didn't go into any of them myself, however, because I was worried about my money. You see, after Wendy's and a earlier morning snack at Tim Horton's, I only had about 10 dollars left, and I didn't want to end up regretting it if we went into something better later on.
That "something better" came along when it was about 2:15 PM, and we went to the Nightmares Fear Factory. I was worried to go in that one too, because I didn't want to waste all of my money. You see, admission was $11.95, and I only had about $15.00. Eventually, when I saw everybody else going in, I just decided to finally
The Nightmares Fear Factory
Or at least a blurry picture of the front of it anyways... Well, that's the best (actually, the only) image of it that I've got, so yeah :(... bite the bullet and pay for the admission price.
It's a very unusual experience, to say the least. I don't want to
completely spoil it for you, in case you want to go yourself one day, but suffice to say that you'll probably be so freaked out by it that you'll want to stay close to the people that you went in with, and you'll also have to make unusual movements in order to make it through there as well. Also, the safety word, if you want to chicken out (which neither I nor any of the people that I were with did, BTW) is "nightmares".
After that we had to rush back to the point where the bus was going to pick us up at, because by that time, it was about 2:30 PM or so. By that time, I still had 15 shots left on my 27-shot disposable camera 😞. I tried to take as many as I could at the end of it in order to burn them out, but I still had 8 by the end of the trip. One of the 15 taken was a nice picture that Ms. Brown
Me Standing Beside a Tree
The picture was taken by Ms. Brown on my disposable camera. It looks really nice :)... Once more, there's nothing else that I can really say about it... took of me standing beside a tree, as you can see below this paragraph.
But however, we weren't done yet. We had to wait an hour for the bus to come over and get us 😞... When we got back to the school, I got a ride home from Ms. Featherstone, and that was that.
There
is one more thing that I wanted to mention however, but I didn't have space to put the image up there. Ok, I wanted to go to the WWE store. I don't even really know why, I grew out of that sort of thing
years ago... I went to the WWE store quickly before we went back (after we went to Nightmares, BTW), and it was closed on that day 😞... Here's the picture that I took of the front of the WWE store, below this paragraph:
Well, that's all for now, folks! I hope that everyone who read it enjoyed it 😊.
