On the planeOn the planeOn the plane

A baby sardine; Saw her first submarine; And got scared when she looked through the peephole; Come, come, come, said the sardine's mum; It's only a tin full of people!
Weather: HOT!

We flew to Hamilton airport on a very cramped plane with a dodgy entertainment system, which meant we had to listen to all the "entertainment" throughout the flight, since the headphones weren't working. When we landed, the pilot thought he'd flown into a bird, and he thought we'd bust a tyre. "Someone" (translation: a farmer who was turning hay) came to check the tyre. It was fine, so we taxied on.

Sue and Di welcomed us. They'd only just made it there, so that was good (since we were about an hour late). They drove us to Niagara Falls, which, alas, has turned into a huge tourist trap. Met a whole bunch of Marauders* on the porch of the Diplomat hotel. Bel was wearing one bunny slipper and one high-heeled boot, and all the Marauder kids were unbelievably cute. Marie-Lyne presented us with a parcel from Cassie, another Canadian friend, containing a moose, which accompanied us for the rest of the trip. Laura (aka KZ) had scoured all the flea markets and came up with amazing gifts for us all, the top find being a tin crown for our fairy, Astrella ("all the gems fell off at

the border, honest").

There was an Italian buffet (run by a guy from Holland who used to play football for "De Zwolsche Boys") nearby, and that's where we went. We were introduced to Bel's magic handbag ("I thought I had a Sharpie in there!") and the whole thing was very droll. We stayed until we were ready to fall over and went to our very big room, with its very flowery bedspreads and its air conditioning (phew!).

*Marauders: looooooong story! We found each other on a Harry Potter website, created our own forums, and here we are.
