6:30 - 8:00 Dinner in the only bar in the area in the hotel. We were the only patrons. Server engrossed in Sixteen Candles on the big screen. What happened to hockey? Had glass of wine (only thing not deep fried on the menu) and ordered a "Royal Platter" - let's just say it was a complete misnomer and the Queen wouldn't have fed it to her Corgies.
8:00 Call Les and Carol to commiserate our slow progress.
9:00 Bed.

Dear Helen and Ian, Think of this as a unique adventure, a record breaking blizzard in May 2013, and you are there! Bless you both, keep your sense of humour and think of the stories you can tell when you get home.I am studying maps and pestering Google with questions, and praying that you soon get out of there.Does Grand Falls have a good book store? Some of the southern states are suffering tornadoes, and I am wondering which is the safest route home for you. It just happens to be that time of year for this kind of weather, darn it. In case you have forgotten, Victoria had its May Day Parade this morning, and the weather is better than it has been all week. Prince Andrew was here at the weekend and he opened the Highland Games in Topaz Park. The cruise ships are coming in thick and fast, sometimes 3 and 4 in a day, and next Saturday brings the Swiftsure Race, but it is not as exciting for me since it moved to Clover Point. The sod, (rocks) was turned at the Johnson Street Bridge to herald its demolition and the building of the new one. Isn\'t it wonderful that you have one another to share this terrific experience! Love you, Mum.
