Flag of Turkey
It was a special day for the happy healthy history hungry hooligans from Safety Bay. After hiring a car they took the ferryboat across the Dardinells from Cannakale to Escebat and onto the battlefields of Gallipoli.
For most young kids growing up in Australia there were two things that you had to consider from an early age: (1) what were your legs made of? and (2) how fast could you run? But as the day wore on - taking in the history and the sights - the married couple from the 1b Seahaven Street Light Horse discovered that it was more important how fast you could run (and if you had legs like steel springs would have been handy too!)
