Jess and I flew to Istanbul today. Our plane was delayed and we felt a bit bad because we had organised a transfer and the poor guy had been waiting at the airport for us for a few hours! Anyway, he dropped us off at our hostel in the backpacker district. We checked in and then set off to explore the city. I have been here a few years ago and quickly got my bearings back.
